Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Care Worker to work in a residential care setting.

We have both regular shifts (35 hours per week) and bank shifts available. Please note that we dont offer sponsorship and the worker should be able to work full time without restrictions. We would need 5 years work references checked out before you start the shifts.

Rate of Pay: 12.26 15.82 per hour

Summary:

As a Care Worker for Nottinghamshire County Council you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who require assistance with daily living tasks enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life. You will provide compassionate personcentred care in residential community or home settings supporting individuals with physical disabilities learning disabilities mental health conditions or agerelated needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care including washing dressing toileting and feeding.
  • Support clients with mobility and physical activities including moving and handling techniques.
  • Assist with medication in line with care plans and guidelines.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and report concerns appropriately.
  • Adhere to Nottinghamshire County Council policies and procedures including health and safety and infection control.

Essentials:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards this qualification)
  • Care Certificate (preferred)
  • Valid UK driving licence (desirable depending on service location)
  • First Aid and Manual Handling training (advantageous)

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a care or support worker role is desirable but not essential full training will be provided.
  • Experience working with elderly individuals people with disabilities or mental health needs is a plus.
  • Understanding of confidentiality dignity and personcentred care.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
