Job Description

BoardCertified Behavior Analyst BCBAAssistant Director of Special Education / Building PrincipalPosition Summary:
  • The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) serves as a key member of the special education and student support team responsible for the development implementation and oversight of behavioral programming and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services across the district. Working in collaboration with educators administrators families and related service providers the BCBA ensures highquality behavioral supports for students PreK12 with a range of needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder emotional and behavioral challenges and developmental disabilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (e.g. FBAs) to identify the underlying functions of student behavior and evidencebased assessments (e.g. VBMAPP) to address skill development.
  • Design and implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs using evidencebased ABA strategies.
  • Provide direct consultation and support to teachers instructional assistants and related staff to ensure consistent implementation of behavioral programming.
  • Collaborate with IEP teams to develop measurable behavioral goals and ensure integration of behavior supports across school environments.
  • Provide modeling coaching and training to staff in the application of behavior intervention strategies data collection and student engagement techniques.
  • Supervise ABA instructors RBTs and other behavior support staff as assigned including regular observations and performance feedback.Other Requirements:
  • Experience working in a public school or educational setting
  • Strong knowledge of special education regulations IEP process and inclusive practices
  • Excellent communication collaboration and organizational skills
  • Experience with data systems for tracking behavioral and academic progressWork Environment & Physical Demands:
  • Work is performed in general education special education and substantially separate settings throughout the district.
