Job Description
Operate service vehicle to visit customers and perform diagnostic location and minor repair of drain systems in a safe and timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities
- The draincleaning technician will be responsible for all diagnostic location and repair of plumbing systems.
- Responsible for ensuring good customer relations.
- The technician will be required to assess all work and submit profitable bids with the Department Manager.
- Operate power washer @ 3000 psi10gpm and a jet @4000 psi18gpm
- Responsible for the cleanliness and proper operation of service van or pickup and sewer cleaning equipment.
- Technician will be required to be on the oncall rotation with the department.
- Technician will report daily to the Department Manager and turn in daily route sheets for billing.
- Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner
- Follow department and company procedures
- Keep up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this company
- Other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the business. These responsibilities may change from time to time are business needs evolve over time.
Knowledge Skills Abilities Professional Certifications Education Experience and Travel Requirements
- Knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing
- Operate and maintain cable machines in a safe manner
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to complete written reporting of routes sheets for billing
- Prefer a minimum of one year experience in drain cleaning technique.
- Prefer a minimum of oneyear hydro jetting experience.
- Must be flexible to work nights weekends overnights and on call shifts; regular shift MondayFriday unless notified
- Requires valid driver license with acceptable MVR and medical card
- Local travel requirements; less than 5% overnight travel
Physical Demands/Requirements:
Constantly (over2/3):
- remains in a seated position while using arms legs and observation to operate vehicle
- maneuvers around (walks climbs stoops kneels crouches) kitchen equipment roof tops and various limited and confined spaces
- operates observes and monitors equipment
Frequently (1/32/3):
- communicates with coworkers customers and supervisors
- moves lifts pushes and pulls equipment and material up to 50 lbs
- operates electronic devices such as GPS equipment and phone/radio/tablet
Occasionally (under 1/3):
- exposed to outdoor weather conditions
- exposed to materials that occasionally require use of PPE such as gloves
- moves across wet/slippery and uneven surfaces
- electronically and manually completes logs/reports
