Civil Construction Program Lead

Location: Lehi UT

Status: FullTime

Hours: Monday Friday; 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m.

Pay/Salary: $66682 $75017

Summary

As a Program Lead in Civil Construction at Mountainland Technical College you will play a transformative role in shaping the future workforce of the civil construction industry. In close collaboration with the assigned Director you will mentor train and guide both current and aspiring civil construction professionals through a handson industryaligned curriculum. This role is about more than teaching its about empowering students with the skills confidence and opportunities to succeed in meaningful careers.

Your work will directly influence students ability to gain employment in civil construction and related fields. From developing curriculum and evaluating student progress to building vital industry partnerships every aspect of this role supports the overarching mission: preparing students for successful sustainable careers that help build the communities around us.

What Youll Do:

Responsibilities of the Civil Construction Program Lead include but are not limited to:

  • Champion the mission and vision of Mountainland Technical College by fostering a culture of professionalism safety and excellence.
  • Lead the Civil Construction program ensuring a dynamic uptodate learning experience through handson instruction and curriculum innovation.
  • Teach a full instructional load utilizing both classroom and lab settings to deliver highimpact practical learning experiences.
  • Mentor students modeling professionalism in attitude attire and workpace standards aligned with industry expectations.
  • Oversee program staff and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Maintain and update curriculum to align with industry needs and accreditation standards.
  • Develop and nurture partnerships with local civil construction employers to create pipelines for student employment and internship opportunities.
  • Maintain safe clean and fully functional lab environments and equipment.
  • Manage course content on Canvas and ensure clarity accessibility and academic rigor.
  • Represent the Civil Construction Program at professional and promotional events on and off campus.
  • Support faculty professional development and ensure ongoing compliance with Credentialing and Professional Licensing (CPL) requirements.

What Were Looking For:

  • Education Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional certifications or education in civil construction or a related field are highly preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 510 years of experience in Civil Construction is required. Previous leadership or supervisory experience as well as teaching and mentoring is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word etc.) and Google Suite tools (Docs Sheets Slides etc.).
  • Organizational Abilities: Strong skills in time management multitasking and organization to efficiently lead a full instructional load manage program logistics and coordinate staff responsibilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen problemsolving skills and a strong attention to detail to ensure instructional accuracy curriculum quality and safe efficient lab environments.
