Job summary What to expect:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Director QA R&D to join our Research and Development Quality Assurance team. This role operates as a key member of the global RAQA and R&D leadership teams responsible for risk management design control and usability engineering of new product developments. There is responsibility for the operation of the Quality Management System (QMS) in both R&D sites and the maintenance of the associated certifications by the Notified Bodies. In this context you will support the R&D function in the creation of technical documentation.
You will provide quality assurance leadership for all CVI global R&D facilities (contact lens and lens care products) lead the R&D QA team and serve as a primary quality assurance resource accountable for the UK Pilot R&D QMS. As the Senior Director you will be the global process owner for Risk Management Design Control and Usability Engineering.

About you:
We are looking for an experienced senior leader who can communicate within an organisation both horizontally and vertically with the ability to listen and react to our stakeholders. The successful candidate will need to showcase strong interpersonal and adaptability skills as well as be a change agent with the ability to pivot quickly and drive their team to shift direction as required. You will have a problemsolving mindset and be able to partner with the business to ensure compliance. A key attribute is the ability to demonstrate strong time management where you can prioritise activities through the team and organisation. As a people leader you will have a natural ability to develop your team and future leaders whilst being a true global partner that drives results through solutions.
Experience & Education:
- Experienced people leader.
- Industry background within medical device or pharmaceutical.
- Global regulatory knowledge including FDA MDR EMA is essential to drive this area forward.
- Significant experience in Quality Management Systems as a whole with understanding of clinical and general medical practices.
- Good understanding of and experience with polymer science biocompatibility sterilisation and mechanical engineering concepts.
- Demonstrated medical device Quality Engineering experience in research new product development and/or highvolume manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to identify and assess risk mitigate those risks from a global standpoint.
- Project Management experience.
- Ability to input and influence decisions at a strategic level.
