Responds to telephone and email inquiries from employee groups of corporate clients and processes all maintenance as specified. Services include providing information regarding clients 401(k) ESOP and other retirement plans. Provide plan participants with information about withdrawal and loan provisions rollovers account status etc. Focus on resolution of complex transactions where expertise is required to interpret policies guidelines and/or processes. Takes ownership for one or more processes reports and/or procedures analytically and procedurally competent. Emerging as an expert in a specific skill set but remains focused primarily on daily execution. May manage daily operational activities and supervise daytoday work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role). Expected to take initiative on more complex problems.

Major Duties:

  • Handle participant requests including electronic fund transfers monthly benefits rollovers loans and tax forms.
  • Process BPS participant maintenance queues (address changes tax elections electronic deposit changes) accurately and within department guidelines.
  • Assists participants with information about distribution options loan provisions and eligibility status.
  • Responds to daily telephone inquiries and requests from defined contribution plan participants.
  • Act as a point person for escalated issues.
  • Demonstrate appropriate call behaviors as outlined by the department.
  • Responsible for following established guidelines as well as identifying and resolving routine problems.
  • Expected to use initiative for more complex problems where expertise is required to interpret policies guidelines and/or processes
  • Expected to be in compliance with risk management.
  • Facilitates administrative tasks such as completing staff audits monthly reporting system testing project deliverables and information gathering.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for staff training and project work.
  • May manage daily operational activities and supervise daytoday work of junior level employees (but not a formal management role.


Knowledge:

  • Bilingual French is a plus
  • Knowledge of the company products or client servicing usually acquired through training programs or experience is required to support products for the participants.
  • Analytical and organizational skills are required to research and resolve inquiries and manage conflicting priorities and workflow.
  • Communication skills are required to respond to daily requests for information from plan documents.


Experience : A College or University degree and/or relevant experience in operations is preferred.
