About the team
TheCloudServices teamis responsible forthe strategic direction delivery and evolution of ourcloudinfrastructure and services to support internal and external customers. We work collaboratively across departments to ensure ourcloudsolutions are secure scalable and aligned with business needs.
Our team partners with stakeholders in IT Security and R&D to executecloudstrategies that enable innovation and performance at every stage of thecloudservice lifecycle. We focus on both driving future advancements andmaintainingour existingcloudservices to meet the evolving demands of our users and the industry.
What you will do
- Engage influence and evangelize Cloud Platform Engineering (CPE) best practices with developmentoperationsand product groups to align technology with service/solution delivery.
- Drive quality accountability within the organization with welldefined processes metrics and goals for process quality. This includes leading effective postmortems and ensuring followup actions are completed.
- Drivecapacityplanning performance analysis instrumentation and other nonfunctional systems requirements.
- Must be able to define and report progress on strategic initiatives and project level tasks to all stakeholders including senior executives clients and use effective communication approaches with each constituency.
- Propose improvements to the enterprise cloud management platforms hub and spoke architecture strategic approaches and related security governance based on continual review and evaluation of enterprise cloud consumption trends across internal and external business lines.
- Collect business security requirements and centrally coordinate the development of new or enhanced cloud capabilities based on customer need firm standards and compliance requirements.
- Work with peers to automate and build tailored solutions with repeatable patterns that can beleveragedacross business and IT solutions.
- Ensure that cloud solutions follow established security and compliance controls.
- Be a thought leader by staying abreast of current and emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.
- Provide leadership coaching guidance and development to the team of Cloud Services professionals of diverse skill sets and roles.
Technologies we use
- Experience designing and building multitenant IaaS and PaaS cloud solutions on either Amazon AWS Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud platforms.
- Experience with cloudnative solution design patterns (microservices messaging distributed caching containers etc.)
- Extensive understanding of Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
- Experience with infrastructure as code development along with configuration management and orchestration tools such as Ansible Chef or Puppet.
What we are looking for
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Management of Information Systems Software Engineering Security or equivalent professional experience
- 5 years of experience building resilienthighly availableand scalable cloud native platforms and solutions in a hightech globalorganization.
- 3 years of experience leading teams with an operational oncall support rotation
- Experience with cloud infrastructure data and application services.
- Experience leading technical project teams providingdirectionand setting and reporting on clearobjectives.
- Experience leading delivery of managed SaaS services to enterprise customers.
