The Role
In this demanding yet rewarding role youll rely on your superior political contacts to break national political news across the spectrum on 7.30 and online.
As a key member of the 7.30 team youll work alongside a talented group of journalists and researchers collaborating to report federal political stories providing the ABCs audiences with context and analysis of the national political landscape on 7.30.
Youll provide editorial direction and leadership to the program planning coverage of and reporting on major political events including elections.

About You
To excel in this position you must possess exceptional writing and presentation skills a record of breaking political news and the ability to thrive under pressure. A deep understanding of Australian politics and the ability and flair for reporting on politics parliament and government are essential. Additionally you must be comfortable working in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and impartiality.
Youll bring with you outstanding and established contacts with high level sources from all sides of politics party organisations and the public service.
