Job Description
Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) Linehaul is a critical backbone of how Amazon delivers packages to customers around the world. Within ATS Linehaul the Fleet team is striving to build the most technologically advanced environmentally friendly and safest fleet in the world. The Fleet team is looking for a Sr. Transaction Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to own and execute strategic crossfunctional operations and technology projects on the Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) team. This role requires scoping multiple large crossfunctional projects managing to project timelines and communicating to senior management on status risks and process changes. This role will also be responsible for identification of potential pilot projects and sites development of design guidance and enabling documentation to gain stakeholder trust and buyin and guiding new design standards through the change management process.
This role will require approximately 25% travel within the United States and Canada.
This role will require exceptional written and verbal communication skills sound judgment when clear guidelines may not exist and the ability to work independently in a highpressure environment with all levels of leadership. Key job responsibilities
Coordinating with crossfunctional project teams planning and organizing and executing complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders to enable the launch of new projects and processes
Demonstrate performance that serves as a model of excellence establishing design best practices business requirements design team collaboration and stakeholder alignment
Review and guide internally requested changes for validity impact and ensure timely incorporation once approved
Provide technical direction in accordance to established design parameters for multiple projects in various locations simultaneously
Review of yard designs for conformance to current standard specifications
Participate in or lead roadtolaunch meetings to build positive collaborative partnerships among SMEs team members stakeholders and field leaders and associates to complete all required tasks to ensure successful new launches throughout the organization
Write and review whitepapers for launches cases using information acquired from various stakeholders
Manage the continuous development of online dashboards to record and report key construction metrics to team members and management
Prepare team performance reports for weekly monthly and quarterly business reviews that distill key metrics and provide insights into recommended strategies
Evaluate site feasibility and have an understanding of local permit processes.
About the team
The Fleet Infrastructure team is responsible for deploying equipment that supports Amazon Middle Mile Fleet. The equipment deployment includes electric vehicle (EV) charger deployment snow scrapers to remove snow from trailers wash bays to wash trailers and other innovative solutions. These deployments expand the lifecycle of our equipment while also address safety and compliance needs.
Bachelors Degree in Real Estate Business Administration Finance Engineering Architecture Planning or similar
5 years experience in industrial or commercial real estate
5 years experience with transaction management
Experience working with internal and external stakeholders (i.e. investors developers consultants engineers attorneys municipal/state/regulatory jurisdictions)
Experience developing and implementing process improvements
BA or BS in Construction Management Project Management Architecture Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
Experience in deal management in an industrial real estate operation with a national footprint leveraging a combination of internal and external resources.
Experience developing and implementing process improvements to streamline the full transactions delivery system.
Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with municipal state and regulatory jurisdictions.
Ability to effectively communicate Amazon requirements to various audiences (e.g. senior management peers public officials vendors etc.).
A track record of delivering high quality projects in an atmosphere where speed flexibility frugality and heavy workload are the expected norm.
Experience building a network of investors developers contractors consultants engineers and attorneys as resources in maintaining deal flow at values of $20 million each and greater.
Experience negotiating land options contracts leases development agreements and similar documents for transactions
