Job Duties
The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles is seeking a Sr. Portfolio Analyst located in Richmond VA for its Continuous Improvement and Projects department.
The Sr. Portfolio Analyst provides support for the overall agency portfolio management and prioritization process to manage the intake analysis and prioritization of all agency initiatives including highvisibility transformation ITrelated and nonIT related initiatives. Leads and supports agency portfolio management prioritization and agency transformation efforts that includes weekly Work stream Lead (WSL) meetings initiative analysis and documentation transformation trainings management and oversight of the Transformation Management System (TMS) and the agency portfolio management tool. Supports all tasks related to the agency portfolio management and initiative intake process designed to align with agency business objectives that improve customer service delivery. Responsible for conducting analysis and research on portfolio intake initiatives requests to ensure accuracy and appropriate details are collected for proper evaluation and prioritization. Supports all tasks related to prioritization of initiatives as part of the agency portfolio management and prioritization process.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience providing a broad background in policy analysis research and business process improvement methodologies.
Experience in presentation facilitation and negotiation.
Collaboration experience with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience with identifying escalating and communicating issues and progress to senior management in an effective and succinct manner.
Considerable knowledge of public and business administration principles and practices; organizational management and operations principles and practices.
Experience in planning developing organizing and leading initiative owners.
Experience in planning and developing initiative goals key impacts and objectives.
Working knowledge of product management principles and Agile methodologies.
Considerable skill in the use of a personal computer utilizing spreadsheet database
flowcharting and Microsoft office suite applications.
Demonstrates excellent timemanagement.
Ability to effectively work with and communicate with executive leadership.
Experience working in a highly stressful fast paced environment and meet time sensitive deadlines.
Additional Considerations
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
Experience managing portfolios aligning business goals with IT and NonIT strategies and drive projects to successful outcomes.
