Senior Financial Analyst Operations & Commercial Finance (Remote)

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven finance professional to deepen their expertise in two of Ethos key growth areas: Supply Chain Financial Optimization and Sales Growth. In this highly visible role youll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners and engage regularly with the Senior Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the VP of Supply Chain Finance with a strong dotted line to the VP of Sales Finance this position offers a unique platform to broaden your skill set and make a meaningful impact on both operational efficiency and top-line growth. We are looking for candidates who live in Dallas Austin or Houston Texas as this role will require commuting to Brownwood once a month. The company will sponsor this commute including gas meals and hotel if needed.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Sales Finance:
- Drive fact-based cross-functional decision making for new sales opportunities incremental growth initiatives and competitive defense plans using financial modeling.
- Support VP Sales Finance with innovation financial modeling.
- Own customer product line and SKU profitability analyses.
- Collaborate across all levels and with budget owners or other stakeholders to ensure an accurate and timely month-end close.
Supply Chain Finance:
- Work closely with Plant management as well as operational supervisors to understand and optimize the plant performance vs. Budget using a scorecard approach.
- Support timely monthly financial close processes including preparing journal entries reconciling balance sheet accounts accruals and allocations as needed.
- Perform standard costing updates as new or revised BOMs are developed.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports such as Synergy and Cost Savings Tracking Plant P&L Cost Center Reports Capital Project tracking etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field or equivalent certification
- >3 years of relevant analytical or accounting experience in Manufacturing
- Accounting and/or finance experience is required
- Proficient computer skills including solid working knowledge of Excel.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive work style that enhances team-oriented environment.
- Must be willing to travel monthly to our plant in Brownwood TX
- High level of motivation flexibility and meticulous attention to detail
- Must be willing to submit a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Must be eligible to work in the US.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- >5 years of experience in Manufacturing Finance or Sales Finance.
- Proficient in Process Standard Costing in a product manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts financial statements and GAAP
- Knowledge of NetSuite or similar ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines independently.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in a manufacturing consumer-packaged goods (CPG) or a private equity portfolio company
- Live in Dallas Houston or Austin
- Demonstrates ethical behavior and professionalism at all times.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to relay accurate information via multiple communication vehicles including verbal and written mechanisms.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours.
- Ability to operate a computer and other office technology.
- Ability to observe details at close range.
- Travel for work between 25%-30% of time
- Occasionally ascend/descend stairs.
