The role we are offering you:
The position holder (Senior HRBP) is responsible for aligning the companys objectives with those of employees and management in designated divisions. They manage strategic partnerships in the sectors they support in addition to providing operational advice and support. They oversee the delivery of HR services such as talent management engagement compensation and benefits performance management and change management. The holder is also responsible for employee relations in Canada. Close integration within the company and the HR support team will be necessary.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in the implementation of a global strategy as a representative of Canada within the employee relations center of expertise.
Design and implement global policies and be responsible for Canadian human resources policies.
Manage litigation cases related to employment in Canada.
Act as an expert in employee relations with Canadian human resources business partners.
Participate in the implementation of HR action plans programs and projects to support the strategic objectives of the hardware engineering global procurement central planning manufacturing engineering and Quality.
Act as the HRBP for employees supervisors department heads and directors of the serviced groups.
Identify workforce issues (skills development retention and engagement) develop and implement necessary actions to address operational challenges and leadership development.
Coach managers in managing their human resources.
Provide recommendations for employee engagement.
Advise department management teams on HR programs policies and procedures compensation training employee relations performance management and succession planning to ensure continuous improvement.
Participate in organizational transformation as part of various continuous improvement projects.
Deploy various corporate programs and initiatives within their client groups.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
Bachelors degree in industrial relations or human resources.
10 years of progressive experience as a human resources business partner.
Good knowledge of labor laws in Canada.
Experience in developing and implementing human resources policies.
Ability to work in a fastpaced and constantly evolving human resources environment.
Strong interest in design and manufacturing engineering operations.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and demonstrate maturity and professional and emotional judgment to approach delicate situations with integrity diplomacy tact and high ethical standards.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written French and English) as well as strong organizational and presentation skills.
Problemsolving skills to act as an internal advisor and coach for the management team and employees on all human resourcesrelated matters.
Customer service skills and the ability to exercise good judgment and build and maintain relationships with clients at all levels of the company.
Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word Excel and PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
