What Youll Be Doing
Youll be joining CIBCs Core Banking Application Engineering Group and be at the heart of CIBCs core banking transformation successfully delivering complex enterprisescale applications involving multiple backend a seasoned Java Developer you will build implement and maintain flexible and modular solutions that enhance the client experience across lines of businesses. Youll assist with the planning and strategy for the technical design development and integration of these applications.

How Youll Succeed
Strategic Development & Execution:Perform and coordinate complex solution design activities. Understand the business requirements and translate them into system and application design that is aligned with our technology and document the technical functionality infrastructure interfaces and integrations. Lead the design of costeffective and innovative solutions to meet both business objectives and the goal of operational efficiency.
Strategy and Roadmap:Contribute to technology roadmaps that are aligned with the banks vision strategy and business objectives. Lead multiple complex technology solutions while maintaining consistency across the platform adopting best practices and pushing forward continuous improvements
Stakeholder Management:Act as thesolutionlead and interface with the project teams by driving and moderating design review sessions to walk stakeholders through and ensure that the overall design aligns with business requirements as well as architectural directions.
Who You Are
You can demonstrate 810 years experience in. designing developing implementing and supporting applications with expertise in Java/J2EE Spring Boot Angular/React JSP/EJB/JMS Oracle Hibernate Rest Services JSON Unix/Linux WebLogic/JBoss PL/SQL Web Services/SOAP/XML Maven/Ant Soap UI/Junit Design Patterns. Sound experience in Object Oriented design. Experience building and integrating with external systems using SOAP/REST API connectors. Experience in Agile Iterative and Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC). Its an asset if you have experience with OpenShift/Azure Jenkins GitHub Artifactory or other DevOps tools. This role will function as a subject matter expert (SME) to other developers in addition to handson coding.
