- Location: Maitland preferred however other DPIRD office locations will also be considered
- Salary from $145K pa to $168K pa plus super
The Legacy Mines Program is a NSW Government initiative administered by NSW Resources that delivers and manages the rehabilitation or remediation of legacy mine sites.
The primary objectives of the Legacy Mines Program are to:
- reduce or eliminate risks to public health and safety.
- reduce any impacts to the environment.
- stabilise and prevent further degradation of legacy mine sites; and
- remove or contain contamination at its source and prevent it from spreading.
As the Manager Legacy Mines Program youll be spearheading program management delivering results under a strong governance framework.
Youll lead and manage a passionate project team with a clear purpose remediating historic mines to ensure public safety protect the environment and stabilize legacy mine sites. Your work will directly contribute to safer communities and a cleaner environment leaving a lasting impact for generations to come.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the development delivery monitoring and evaluation of a complex portfolio of legacy mine projects.
- Developing and implementing strategies and tools for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of projects including risk and contingency management benefits realisation and project impact and quality measures
- Providing expert advice and information to stakeholders and Executive on emerging project issues and presenting recommendations to support project delivery to ensure timely and budgetconscious outcomes while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Collaborating with a diverse team of experts and stakeholders fostering an inclusive and supportive work environment.
