JOB SUMMARY
The Interdisciplinary Affective Science Laboratory (IASLab) at Northeastern University studies emotions: what they are and how they work. The IASLab research uses experiential behavioral psychophysiological and brainimaging techniques.
The Research Technician position involves approximately 50% lab coordinator responsibilities (labwide function and management and handling mediarelated requests) and 50% research responsibilities related to one or more of the research projects being conducted in the IASLab.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Laboratory management and Pl media request management
Assist with research including data collection and analysis
Work closely with participants graduate students research technicians undergraduate research assistants and other staff members to ensure research protocols are followed
Assist with ordering supplies and organizing and drafting materials for the preparation of presentations and publications
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree required
Highly organized with excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong time management skills and ability to effectively multitask
Troubleshooting and solution focused skills are required
Able to coordinate lab personnel in a fastpaced laboratory environment
Experience with data management and analysis preferred (12 years prior experience working in a laboratory environment)
Can work independently as well as cooperatively as part of a team
Experience with Microsoft Office and Google software
Ability willingness and enthusiasm to learn new skills or software as needed to complete administrative or research tasks
