The University of Chattanooga Foundation Inc. (UCF) invites applications and nominations to fill the position of Associate Athletics Director for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Advancement the Associate Athletics Director will coordinate the fundraising program for intercollegiate athletics at UTC.
This role will coordinate and lead development activity for UTC Athletics through the identification cultivation solicitation and stewardship of individuals foundation and corporations to be engaged with UTC.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Fundraising: Management of UTC Athletics fundraising program including annual giving for UTC Athletics. Identify cultivate and personally solicit alumni and friends of UTC for gifts $25000 and manage a portfolio of 70100 prospects and donors. Prepare and present multiyear leadership annual giving and major gift proposals to prospects with the input and assistance of the Athletics Director VC/Executive Director of the UC Foundation Associate VC/Advancement athletics administrators coaches and other constituent and central development officers.
Leadership and Event Management: Lead and supervise fulltime athletics advancement staff and ticket operations/sales staff. Manage or assist in athleticsfocused events for fundraising and stewardship purposes.
Administrative: Other professional duties as assigned by the Associate VC/Advancement and Vice
Chancellor/Director of Athletics to ensure efficiency and effectiveness for the UC Foundation and UTC Athletics including serving as a member of the Athletics Leadership Team sport administrator duties and engagement with alumni affairs.
Required Education and Experience
The candidate who fills the Associate Athletics Director position is required to have:
A valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record is required due to travel responsibilities of the position. UTFI reserves the right to consider all appropriate circumstances. In general any significant driving offense less than 12 months old will eliminate the application from consideration for the position.
Note Candidates holding a graduate degree must have at least 1 year of experience.
