About the role
The inpatient consult and community palliative care multidisciplinary teams are working together to develop a worldclass palliative care service:
Delivering specialist palliative care intervention to patients across various clinical settings admitted and nonadmitted care.
Adopting a leadership role in the palliative care service you will be pivotal in facilitating optimal health outcomes for patients and their families.
Working closely with medical teams offering consultancy education and support to professional and nonprofessional colleagues to improve the palliative care competencies of the workforce.
Promoting a culture of continuous improvement the role will undertake quality improvement projects to enhance palliative care services.
Contributing to service planning audit and research processes.
About you
Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency and hold a current and unrestricted NSW Class C Drivers License.
At least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience and in addition approved post registration nursing qualifications relevant to Palliative Care.
Demonstrated skills and clinical leadership across the five CNC domains of practice:clinical service and consultancy clinical leadership research education and clinical services planning and management.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within the interdisciplinary team and demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills in aged care and end of life scenarios critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice.
