AYard Operations Handler is responsible for managing and maintaining the yard area ensuring efficient operations and safety compliance. Here are the key responsibilities and requirements for this role:
Responsibilities:
- Material Handling:Load and unload materials for delivery or pick up using proper equipment and techniques.
- Inventory Management:Monitor and maintain inventory levels ensuring materials are stored properly and securely.
- Safety Compliance:Adhere to safety protocols and conduct regular safety checks on equipment.
- Coordination:Work with other team members and management to ensure efficient material flow.
- Documentation:Keep detailed records of material movements and yard operations.
- Quality Control:Inspect materials for damage and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Ground Maintenance:Assist with maintaining the yard area including tasks like snow removal and general upkeep.
Preferred but not required:
- Experience:Previous experience in yard operations or a related field.
- Skills:Ability to operate material handling equipment.
- Physical Ability:Capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting heavy items.
This role is essential for ensuring that the yard operates smoothly and efficiently contributing to the overall success of the organization.
