Pharmacy Technician Training ProgramJob Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician Training Program is an innovative training program that is 14 weeks in length. 10 weeks will be spent in a classroom setting doing course work and simulated labs to prepare you to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician. 4 weeks will be spent doing an experiential rotation at one of our many Vanderbilt pharmacies where you will have hands on learning. At the end of the program you will be prepared to advance your career by becoming a Certified Pharmacy Technician..
Program Highlights
This is an accelerated fulltime training program that requires a high level of commitment. Students should plan to dedicate an additional 1015 hours per week outside of class time for studying and assignments.
Because of the programs intensity it is not recommended for individuals who are currently enrolled in other school programs.
The program provides the following at no cost: textbooks (hard copy and must be returned at the end of the program) Ebooks (yours to keep) State Pharmacy Technician registration (you will pay $40.00 upfront for fingerprints but this will be reimbursed) and one CPhT Exam.
To participate in the program you will need to provide: a laptop (required for coursework and exams) gray scrubs (tops and bottoms any shade of gray and any brand) closed toe shoes are required for safety (any color) and school supplies such as notebooks and pens.
