Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Maintenance to lead our maintenance team and oversee all aspects of facility operations.


The Director of Maintenance will be responsible for managing and directing all maintenance operations across our portfolio ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of all equipment and systems. This role will require a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and problemsolving skills who can effectively manage a team and ensure that maintenance services meet the highest standards. This position requires 23 days of travel per week to visit various sites as needed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies and programs to ensure the optimal operation of all facilities and equipment.
  • Oversee the maintenance team providing leadership training and development opportunities.
  • Manage the preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all systems and equipment including HVAC plumbing electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Create and manage the departments budget ensuring costeffective solutions for maintenance operations.
  • Develop and enforce safety standards procedures and regulations in compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety guidelines.
  • Monitor performance metrics to ensure timely costeffective and quality service.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services.
  • Prepare and review reports on maintenance activities recommending improvements as needed.
  • Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot facility issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Travel to various facilities (up to 23 days per week) for site assessments meetings and project oversight.


Qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in maintenance management with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and equipment including HVAC plumbing electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing largescale maintenance operations.
  • Experience with budget management and cost control.
  • Exceptional leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks manage multiple projects simultaneously and solve complex problems.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a maintenance environment.
  • Proficient in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel up to 23 days per week.
