Job Description

EU Supply Chain is expanding its engineering team based out of Luxembourg with new SDE roles to build world class production systems supporting its Inbound & Placement operations. You will get an opportunity to work on crossfunctional projects that are exploratory in nature and will use latest technology for planning and optimization decisions. You will also get a chance to expand your domain knowledge working with some of the best business intelligence engineers product managers and research scientists in the industry.

As we are fast moving towards the reality where real estate in prime locations is getting expensive optimizing our FC Bin storage capacity is key to achieving our mission of lowest possible fulfillment cost. We took upon the task of building a WW system in partnership with SCOT that will make storage cost optimal inventory placement decisions helping to place the right item in the right FC and prevent excessive inventory being sent. Our system will be built entirely inhouse in partnership with SCOT will use best in class technology for automating largescale business planning and optimization decisions. We are proud to be on forefront of thought leadership in the areas of Ideal Placement and Network Capacity Management and work with some of the best business intelligence engineers product managers research scientists in the industry.

This role will be of your interest if:
You are a selfstarter and like to architect systems involving large scale data processing components with economic and optimization models workflow orchestration.
You like to work and own innovative & impactful initiatives ($50M savings) with faster growth.
You have experience implementing best practices in improving team coding culture subjected related to quality and/or security.
Contribute towards achieving the Business Goal of Local Placement & Assignment with impact in the tune of $85M
Effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to nontechnical audiences.
You are looking to transition into Applied Science and/or AI related roles

Expand and optimize our worldclass supply chain systems to support a variety of emerging business initiatives.
Use TestDriven Development and Continuous Deployment.

Key job responsibilities
Design & implement end2end solutions to address high impact business problems in Inbound & Placement space such as FC Bin Storage Capacity SubSame Day Placement Local Placement.
Experiment with whatever technology we need to get the job done.
Use Lean Software Development concepts such as Agile Scrum and Kanban.
Use TestDriven Development and Continuous Deployment.
Work with Principal/Senior Engineers Researchers and Business Intelligence Engineers across multiple Supply Chain SCOT and AFT teams to design systems which help optimize supply chain management.
Expand and optimize our worldclass supply chain systems to support a variety of emerging business initiatives.

About the team
Supply Chain Engineering is a team comprising of SDEs AS & BIEs with the following goals:
1.) Build features products to serve the EU Inbound & Placement business goals.
2.) Sustain the existing products through regular bug fixes.
3.) YoY Improve existing internal/SCOT products through new features.

Experience (noninternship) in professional software development
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
Experience with full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations
