Radiographer Mammography (Bank)

Bank Shifts
Salary: Up to 30.00 per hour (depending on level of experience training and qualification)
We have an opportunity for a Radiographer to join their team of staff in theImaging department.
This is a bank role working on an as and when required basis you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence. Successful candidate must be available for Wednesday shifts from 13:00 18:30.
Duties of this role include:
- Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g. general Xrays theatre fluoroscopy mobiles) following referral and imaging protocols.
- Ensure highquality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis minimising the need for repeat exposures.
- Provide a safe dignified and personcentred service ensuring patients are informed comfortable and reassured throughout their examination.
- Accurately identify patients using approved safety checks and ensure consent is gained before procedures.
- Comply with IR(ME)R regulations local rules and departmental safety protocols to ensure safe radiation practices.
- Assist in the implementation and use of new imaging technologies techniques and digital systems (e.g. PACS RIS).
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
- HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
- Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment.
- Good understanding of IR(ME)R health & safety infection control and patient confidentiality requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patientcentred approach.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
