The Need
For over 25 years IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade IJMs Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence we are seeking a Criminal Intelligence Fellow to support our Latin America programs.
The Criminal Intelligence Fellow Latin America will support various initiatives executed by the Global Investigations & Law Enforcement Development (ILED) Team. The Global Investigations & Law Enforcement Development Team supports IJM programs and partners with subject matter expertise related to investigative casework and law enforcement capacity development.
Potential tasks and project the Fellow include:
Prioritize requests for support (RFS) from IJMs hubs field offices and hostgovernment law enforcement partners in the Latin America region;
Collect process analyze and disseminate high quality strategiclevel intelligence products and briefings that inform seniorlevel decisionmakers;
Collect process analyze and disseminate actionable operationallevel intelligence products and briefings that facilitate specific law enforcement and fieldwork outcomes;
Prepare and disseminate strategic and operationallevel intelligence packages and briefings to internal and external parties.
This position can be fully inperson or hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) in the Washington DC area or remote for nonlocal candidates. This position can also be based out of any IJM global field office. It reports to the Global Director ILED. The position requires 2040 hours per week.
Anticipated Fellowship dates are Sept. 15 2025 Sept. 11 2026.
General Qualifications and Required Skills
Bachelors degree from an accredited university in security studies international relations criminology criminal justice or a related field;
Minimum 3 years of experience as an intelligence analyst investigative analyst crime analyst or research analyst within the federal government military law enforcement or private sector;
Experience with data collection processing and analysis for intelligence products;
Experience with report writing and intelligence briefing;
Experience with online or social mediarelated investigations opensource intelligence (OSINT) link analysis and/or geospatial mapping and cartography.
Spanish language proficiency (Advanced or Native Speaker).

*What is a statement of faith
A statement of faith should describe your Christian faith and how you see it as relevant to your involvement with IJM. The statement can either be incorporated into the cover letter or submitted as a separate document and should include at a minimum a description of your spiritual disciplines (prayer study etc.) and your current fellowship or place of worship.
