Job Description:
Opening Supervisor One on 1st shift (6AM4:30PM) and one on 2nd (4:30PM3AM). Monday Thursday and possibility of OT depending on what is needed in production. Initial 3 month duration to start.
We are currently recruiting for a fulltime supervisor so there would be a possibility to convert if the candidate is qualified otherwise the intent is to utilize the contractor until the position is filled.
Estimated contract is 6 months.
Must have union experience in a manufacturing setting and timekeeping (Kronos) Degree is not required for contract but would be required if pursued as a fulltime candidate Manages about 2530 employees
What will you do
Ensures achievement of production schedules in accordance with the objectives of cost quality lead time
Organizes the training needs of teams
Contributes to the industrial processes improvement with the functions supports
Responsible for people management including: goal setting performance management competency development recognition engagement and wellbeing
Ensures safety focused attitude by all employees
Has ownership of group performance goals and objectives
What qualifications will make you successful
Bachelor s Degree preferred
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Requirements
Lean manufacturing and union experience in manufacturing and timekeeping (Kronos)
