Job Description
Job Title: Manual Machinist
Pay: $16/hour
Location: Tulsa OK
Hours: MondayFriday 6:00 AM 4:00 PM (hours may vary)
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Manual Machinist to join our team in Tulsa. This role involves setting up operating and maintaining a variety of manual machine shop equipment. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently with a strong focus on safety precision and attention to detail.
Primary Responsibilities:
Set up and operate all machines in the machine shop
Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
Provide and utilize personal hand tools required for machine operation
Collaborate with the operations supervisor to repair or remanufacture obsolete parts
Work independently with minimal supervision to complete assigned tasks
Maintain a clean organized and hazardfree work area
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties as directed by the operations supervisor
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience with grinders and MIG/TIG welding equipment
Ability to read blueprints and use closetolerance measuring instruments
Strong communication skills
Proven ability to work with minimal supervision
Physical Demands:
Stand for extended periods
Bend kneel stoop and lift 50 pounds regularly
Work Environment:
Steeltoed boots required
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors around moving equipment and electric tools
Exposure to moderate to high noise levels in shop areas
