JOB SUMMARY:
The team leader is intended to provide highquality patientcentered medical care through mobile outreach clinics in crisisaffected or underserved areas ensuring timely diagnosis treatment referral and preventive health education in accordance with national protocols and Sun Community Health (SCH) guidelines. The position plays a key role in supporting emergency medical response maintaining clinical standards and promoting community health resilience.
The contract type is Service Agreement and the duration is 3 months and extendable. The required position is two and the assigned areas are Nay Pyi Daw and Taunggyi.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The key responsibilities of the Team Leader include:
- Conduct clinical consultations diagnosis and treatment in accordance with national and SCH medical guidelines.
- Lead triage during outreach activities ensuring critical cases are identified and managed promptly.
- Supervise infection prevention and control (IPC) measures in the mobile clinic setting.
- Provide referrals to higherlevel care facilities as needed ensuring continuity of care.
- Lead or support health education sessions on relevant medical topics (e.g. hygiene disease prevention communicable and noncommunicable diseases).
- Oversee medical aspects of humanitarian assistance distribution (e.g. screening for eligibility).
- Contribute to daily activity reporting clinical documentation and team debriefs.
Reporting & Supervision
- The Team Leader reports to the Response Coordinator (Command Center) Or Hub Coordinator with a dottedline relationship with the Regional Managers based in Yangon or Mandalay for operational matters.
- The position supervises mobile team members community mobilizers and coordinates with admin/logistics and finance units in the regional office.
Qualifications :
Qualifications and Experience
- A medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with valid license is required.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience in primary care or emergency medical services; previous humanitarian or outreach work is an asset.
- Familiarity with national treatment protocols and clinical guidelines.
- Experience in community health promotion or health education is preferred.
- Willingness to travel and work in austere highpressure environments with flexible schedules.
Core Competencies
- Clinical expertise in both communicable and noncommunicable diseases including diagnosis treatment and case management.
- Strong triage and decisionmaking skills under pressure particularly in outreach or emergency settings.
- Knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) practices and ability to implement them in lowresource environments.
- Effective communication skills for health education patient interaction and team collaboration.
- Documentation and reporting proficiency including medical records and activity logs.
- Adaptability to field conditions and ability to work in multidisciplinary mobile teams.
