Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi The opportunity

The position is for a Lower North Island  Engagement Development Manager you will be responsible for developing a strong strategic plan to work alongside school students teachers including senior secondary leaders such as HODs and principals and career advisors to achieve effective pathways from Wellington/Lower North Island  schools  to Waipapa Taumata Rau the University of Auckland

This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week) permanent position. The salary range for this role is between $96800 $119500 dependent on skills and experience. The role is based in Wellington and works from home with visits to schools and communities across the region and on occasion to Auckland. A full clean drivers license is required. A car is provided for work purposes.

Qualifications :

We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator and presenter with experience working with students in a secondary school environment.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential:

  • Bachelors degree or relevant tertiary qualification
  • An understanding of the NZ secondary school system including NCEA IB and CIE
  • Experience in engagement/facilitation both inperson and digital strategies
  • Experience with stakeholder relationship development at both executive/senior and service delivery levels
  • Experience in the development and implementation of market strategies for specific segments
  • Demonstrated skills in strategic planning management and leadership within complex environments.
  • Strong understanding competence and confidence in te ao Mori
  • Committed to acknowledging maintaining and restoring the mana and tapu of individuals whnau and communities (Kia Whakamana i te Tangata).
  • Proven track record in building and sustaining effective partnerships with stakeholders to achieve strategic goals.
