Job Description

The Role

The role of Internal Communications Specialist will help to deliver our APAC Corporate Communications Strategy by supporting the business to achieve its strategic goals with effective and focused communications.

It will achieve this via acting as a strategic partner to select divisions of SEEK and offering informed and effective communication advice and support while bringing local expertise and market insights to drive APACwide impact. 

SEEKs Internal Communications Specialist role is integral to delivering exceptional employee experience through strategic communications. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications APAC & Asia this position supports APAC Corporate Communications Strategy execution across all SEEK markets with a particular focus on Asia.

The role will understand SEEKs business strategy and industries partner with specific divisions and leverage local expertise for regional impact. The role requires deep knowledge of how internal communications enhance employee engagement.

The Specialist will execute communications strategy create engaging content promoting SEEKs objectives and culture and manage key relationships with both technical specialists and senior leaders.

The collaborative environment at SEEK requires flexible thinking strong time management skills and comfort with feedback. The ideal candidate should be motivated to understand our strategy and apply critical thinking to enhance the internal communications strategy.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Employee communications strategy: Help to implement SEEKs internal communications approach across Asia Pacific which brings to life SEEKs strategy objectives and culture. Emphasise advice and support which boosts SEEKs highly regarded employee experience and engagement by focusing on the right things. 
  • Compelling content design: Create and deliver highquality content for existing and new channels and make SEEKs internal communication bestinclass. Bring professionalism and flair to the content creation process and be ready to execute across channels and tools that reach our employees in all our markets. 
  • Stakeholder engagement: Learn from and support teams and leaders across SEEKs business areas so you have a network of people to draw from to create content that is reflective of activities across all departments and geographies. 
  • Team player: Work within a wider Corporate Communications team and align internal and external messaging and leverage opportunities to repurpose and maximise content where appropriate. 

Qualifications :

The Team 

This role reports to our Head of Corporate Communications APAC & Asia in SEEKs Corporate Communications team. You will work closely with and be well supported by colleagues in internal communications external communications and communication channels located in Asia and ANZ. 

Qualifications Skills and Experience  

  • Demonstrated experience working in a Corporate Communications team with a focus on internal and digital communications 
  • Proven record of running successful internal communications programs across complex business environments 
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and provide appropriate advice to stakeholders on a range of matters considering reputation and engagement risks where appropriate 
  • An excellent writer and storyteller with a passion for creating engaging and modern content 
  • Experience working across a variety of channels and tools (including town halls intranet newsletters etc.) and can design compelling content in presentations videos and other creative collateral 
  • Meticulous organisational skills able to work independently and exercise great judgment and manages time effectively 
  • Experience supporting and influencing senior business leaders 
  • Experience working across APAC or within a global business is desirable but not essential
