Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and detailoriented Full Time QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel) to join our Memory Care team in Colorado Springs United States. In this role you will play a crucial part in providing highquality care and support to residents with memoryrelated conditions such as Alzheimers and dementia.
- Administer medications to residents according to prescribed orders and facility protocols
- Monitor residents for medication side effects and report any concerns to the nursing staff
- Maintain accurate and uptodate medication administration records
- Assist with daily living activities including personal care and grooming
- Engage residents in memoryenhancing activities and social interactions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive resident care
- Respond promptly to resident needs and emergency situations
- Maintain a clean safe and comfortable environment for residents
- Adhere to all state regulations and facility policies regarding medication administration and resident care
Qualifications :
- Current QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Personnel) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Previous experience in memory care or assisted living facilities preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication administration techniques and safety protocols
- Understanding of memoryrelated conditions and appropriate care techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and attention to detail
- Physical ability to assist residents with daily living activities
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in working with seniors
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays as needed
