The Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) has an exciting opportunity for a Manager Contracts within the Mission Integration Systems program area. This role will support complex International Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) contracts for Command and Control software primarily in the Asia Pacific region. This role could also support efforts in the Middle East or with the U.S. Government depending on business needs. The portfolio consists of contract execution and contract closeout as well as the opportunity to work on the capture of new business.
In this role you will be responsible for customer communication contract management change management coordination of invoicing fulfillment of contract requirements in accordance with company policies legal requirements and customer specifications. You will need to utilize regular application of thorough business acumen and subject matter expertise to understand program performance requirements provide guidance and influence results in support of program and financial objectives. Additionally the Manager Contracts is required to work closely with Program Management leadership the Office of General Counsel and crossfunctional peers in support of program gate reviews program management reviews business strategy sessions proposal reviews risk management activities and all other contractual related matters affecting the portfolio.
The successful candidate will work with both internal and external customers to ensure programs performance provide guidance and influence outcomes to achieve desired results. This candidate should also have a track record of success in DCS contracting including terms and conditions contract execution milestone payment plans and with an excellent financial background.
What You Will Do
Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships and influence business decisions
Implement strategies to improve acquisition timelines and customer pace of contractual actions
Investigate and resolve complex contractual matters by applying astute critical thinking gathering detailed information seeking creative contracting techniques and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders
Provide strategic advice and guidance on numerous contractual rights/obligations regulations and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes
Review proposals to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements represent a balanced risk/opportunity posture and deliver a financially sound business case while meeting company policies and standards
Negotiate complex awards
Some international travel (25%) will be required to meet with the customer
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
Experience working DCS contracts and negotiating International terms and conditions
Contracts Lead or direct engagement with external customers

Demonstrated ability to shape results in support of goals including ability to communicate and guide executive leadership
Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and develop effective relationships based on respect and trust
Excellent communication and leadership to establish and maintain effective relationships with complex customers
Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential
Crossfunctional experience in Finance Integrated Supply Chain Business Development or Program Management

The salary range for this role is 112000 USD 224000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
