Job Description
- Summer EATS Motor Equipment Operator (MEO)
- Under the direction of the Food Service Director and/or Designee the Motor Equipment Operator operates vehicles to deliver items and materials to Food Service sites. The driver will pick up and deliver but not limited to food supplies and equipment to various sites in and around the New Bedford Public Schools District.
- Pickup and delivery of all necessary daily meals and supply of needs to assigned schools.
- Pickup and deliver other food/supplies necessary as requested by manager
- Maintain fuel and clean vehicles as needed.
- Pick up daily deposits AM/PM at all schools and deposit at assigned bank.
- Basic knowledge of food sanitation procedures and practices.
- Adhere to safety of students at all times when delivering to schools.
- Demonstrates ability to work both as a team member and independently as required by assignment.
- Complete drivers daily inspection forms every morning and report any necessary problems to cafeteria manager.
- Return completed form to cafeteria manager at end of week.
- Perform other related duties as requested by supervisor.
- Must have a good driving record and current drivers license.
- Must be able to lift 3050 lbs. transporting food services materials up and down stairs.
- Must have a neat appearance (wearing uniform).
- Well organized and with good judgement.
- Positive communication skills.

- Dates: June 23 2025 August 22 2022
- Hours: 6:30am 1:30pm
- Rate: In accordance with the AFSCME contract found here
