General Position Summary
Under the direction of the Regional Field Supervisor this entry level position as a Junior Field Service Technician is responsible for inspecting servicing and completing basic repairs on all products in the Core Health and Fitness family. These include Nautilus StairMaster Star Trac Schwinn Throwdown and Wexler. Develop and sustain customer satisfaction and loyalty through exemplary inspections maintenance and repair of all brands. Duties include performing basic service work assist with new product installations weekly inspections of equipment for Key Accounts; along with timely and accurate documentation of work performed. Instill customer confidence in Core Health and Fitness products by providing service and maintenance parallel with friendly and knowledgeable customer support.
Qualifications:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College/Tech degree in related field preferred
- Additional training in commercial fitness industry or combination of education and experience preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 12 years experience in a customer facing technical support or service roll required.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical/technical problem solving
- Experience with standard trouble shooting and diagnostic methods for electro/mechanical equipment in the field.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and similar communication related software.
- Ability to learn Sales Force software.
- Working knowledge of fitness industry preferred.
Other Requirements
- Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
- Background Screening with a successful outcome
- Ability to drive a pickup truck and small work van
- Ability to travel outside the regular service area domestically up to 25%.
Responsibilities
- The primary role of this position is to conduct weekly inspections at a few Key Account locations and make repairs/adjustments as needed.
- Accepts schedules and completes work orders within 48 hours.
- Inspects all equipment during specified visits to Key Accounts
- Ensure all service calls are documented (start to completion) and Service Reports are properly completed and submitted in accordance with established procedures.
- Follow testing procedures accurately.
- Service and maintain Core Health and Fitness products at customer locations in assigned region; ensure repairs are carried out following company policies.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering quality and courteous support in a timely manner.
- Communicates information regarding product performance and relays field feedback to Director of Services.
- Ability to understand technical documentation.
- Possess basic mechanical aptitude.
- Inspect newly installed equipment on site where necessary.
- Maintain van part stock through regular cycle counts inventory replacement requests and timely paperwork processing. Return parts with proper documentation and use precautionary procedures to safeguard company parts and equipment.
- Must attend the required trainings learn all computer systems used for workday and pass certifications on all relevant equipment.
- Ability to maintain/maintenance a company vehicle and park in a safe location.
- Ability submit expense reports and other paperwork ON TIME
- Safety is everyones responsibility. Staff are expected to always act in a safe manner and ensure that those around them do not put themselves or others at risk.
- Service Techs are required to provide basic hand tools.
Customer Service
