The Cellular Therapy APP is part of the Center for Hematologic Malignancies (CHM) outpatient clinic. This clinic provides care for cellular therapies such as chimeric antigen receptor Tcell (CART) therapy acute and longterm care to patients who have undergone an autologous or allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT).
This APP sees up to 12 patients per day may monitor cell infusions provide patient education for the cellular therapy the patient is being considered for.
The APP provides care in conjunction with a team comprised of physicians advanced practice professionals (APPs) RN coordinators and other allied health professionals. APPs may practice both independently or in a sharedcare model with physicians as determined by the needs of the team.
Additionally this APP may intermittently provide oversight of the infusion unit responding to acute infusion reactions and urgent medical issues. They may do procedures such as bone marrow biopsies LPs and IT chemotherapy pushes.
This position reports through the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Outpatient Manager.
Clinic hours: Four 10hour days per week; will include weekend coverage (either permanent or rotating)
