We Are Looking For

FDH Aero is a global leader in aerospace distribution and supply chain with capabilities in electronics hardware and aftermarket services.

The Vice President of Quality will oversee the Quality Management System for FDH Electronics ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves supervising the quality team maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers and acting as the Management Representative to ensure the health and effectiveness of the QMS. The ideal candidate will bring positive energy meticulous attention to detail and extensive knowledge of aerospace quality systems.


What Youll Do

  • Develop and implement the corporate quality strategy in alignment with the companys business objectives and enhance manufacturing and distribution quality across all locations
  • Lead and mentor the global quality team ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Drive a culture of continuous quality improvement throughout all functions and teams
  • Ensure the organization complies with all relevant aerospace defense and regulatory quality standards including AS9100/9120 ISO 9001 Nadcap and other applicable certifications
  • Lead the design implementation and management of a robust Quality Management System (QMS) that complies with industry standards
  • Oversee the development and enforcement of quality policies procedures and standards across all departments
  • Ensure the company adheres to all applicable regulations and standards including safety quality environmental and risk management
  • Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies such as FAA EASA DOD and industry bodies to keep uptodate on evolving quality requirements and compliance standards
  • Conduct regular audits inspections and assessments to identify and mitigate risks to product quality and regulatory compliance
  • Lead efforts related to audits certifications and inspections from customers regulatory agencies and third parties
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all customer quality matters ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any qualityrelated concerns
  • Collaborate with leadership supplier chain and customerfacing teams ensuring product specifications and quality expectations are met or exceeded
  • Oversee the development of metrics and reporting systems to monitor product quality and customer satisfaction
  • Build and lead a highperforming quality team promoting professional development and technical expertise within the organization
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure all employees understand their roles in maintaining quality standards
  • Provide coaching mentoring and leadership to foster talent and innovation
  • Work closely with engineering manufacturing supply chain and other departments to ensure quality is built into the design and production processes
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to set and communicate strategic goals for quality performance and operational efficiency
  • Ensure that quality metrics and KPIs are tracked analyzed and reported to senior management regularly


What You Bring

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Quality Management or a related field; Masters degree preferred
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in quality management with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record of managing complex quality management systems (QMS) across multisite operations
  • Extensive experience with Aerospace and Defense quality standards including but not limited to AS9100 ISO 9001 FAA/EASA/DoD regulations and other industry certifications
  • Certifications such as Six Sigma Black Belt ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar credentials are preferred
  • Strong leadership and people management abilities
  • Deep understanding of product life cycle management from design to production and field support
  • Proficiency in quality management tools and software (e.g. SAP Minitab etc.)
  • Exceptional problemsolving analytical and decisionmaking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with both technical and nontechnical teams
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) Six Sigma Black Belt or similar certifications are a plus. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement methodologies
  • Travel required (up to 40%) to visit customers suppliers and manufacturing sites
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced highly regulated environment


Special Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) orasylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
