Brunel College is an independent alternative provision for students in Years 9 10 & 11. The provision specialises in providing a nurturing environment for vulnerable students students with SEND and behavioural needs by delivering lessons on a 1:1 basis where the focus is on the wellbeing of our students.

All about the role:
We are looking for aTHRIVE Practitioner to lead on our Turnaround project.The Turnaround project is a shortterm respite intervention placement (2week maximum); managed at our CrossKeys site. The daily provision will be 2 hours a day per student. One student at a time. Students are in Year 9 10 or 11 and are in immediate risk of IYFAP referral
Whilst on a Turnaround Package placement referred students will take part in a series of intervention sessions to establish a reintegration proposal to take back to their individual referring school. Students will undertake our induction process giving cognitive social and emotional and academic diagnostic assessments which are completed and analysed. We undertake a full review of their current curriculum to identify strengths and missed opportunities to increase chances of success. Intense pastoral support will explore the issues surrounding the behaviours that have been identified by the referrer. Targeted 1:1 sessions will work directly on the behaviours and needs of the young person establishing support strategies aiming to prevent issues recurring once reintegrated. Parental/Carer engagement will be encouraged with a view to establish any previously unidentified signposting needs for the family. Following completion of the package a meeting will be held with the referring school to discuss the support required identified in our report prior to planned reintegration. Upon completion the referring school will receive: A detailed report including analysis of assessment data highlighting any potential barriers to learning. A pastoral support plan including potential strategies to be utilised by the referring school to support the social and emotional needs of the young person within school.
