Job Description

Start Date:Monday September 8 2025
For this exciting position we are specifically targeting students who have a background in Computer Science Mathematics Statistics and Engineering and who possess coding experience and demonstrate an enthusiastic curiosity towards the following areas: data engineering data visualization cloud computing and mining on the needs and location of the team you will need to work PDT or MDT or relocate to a specific office (sitebased).You must also currently be a student enrolled in a Canadian postsecondary institution and will be enrolled throughout the duration of the coop term (you will also be returning back to the postsecondary institution once the coop term is completed). Proof of a valid work permit will also be required if applicable.

Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Design build and deploy Data Pipelines on Azure for Operational Data including Historian time series data SQL server databases and unstructured data sources
- Solve sophisticated technical problems with legacy systems to overcome technical roadblocks preventing data migration to the cloud platform
- Conduct detailed validation of pipeline data prioritizing data delivery security and quality to maintain integrity and confidentiality
- Provide and develop monitoring and performance metrics for datapipelines to measure and ensure performance KPIs are met
- Maintain application and system documentation
- Facilitate and support incident response and forensics for pipelines on Azure
Qualifications
- Preference will be given to students with diverse educational backgrounds including Computer Science Mathematics Statistics and Engineering
- Coding experience in Python SQL C# is an asset
- Proven ability to learn new technologies and platforms quickly accurately and efficiently
- Ability to communicate with precision in a technical environment
- Able to articulate sophisticated concepts clearly and in a way a diverse audience would understand
- Experience with cloud platforms is an asset and a variety of technology backgrounds is valued
- Knowledge and experience with working in Agile is an asset
- Proficient in bothindependent work and collaborative teamwork encouraging an inclusive and diverse environment
