Job Description
We are seeking a detailoriented and dependable Accounting Administrator to support our client for a 46month contract term. Based in Bedford NS this role is ideal for someone who is proactive organized and techsavvy with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently.The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring smooth accounts payable operations document management and vendor communication and is available to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Process and upload invoices in a paperless system; route for approvals and export to accounting software
- Reconcile vendor statements and ensure timely payments
- Create and amend purchase orders; coordinate with site staff and project managers
- Match invoices to purchase orders or schedules of values; ensure accurate subledger postings
- Maintain electronic filing systems and follow up on missing documentation
- Support supply orders courier coordination and general administrative tasks
- Proven experience in a similar versatile accounting support role ideally with a focus in AP paperless systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Sage 100 is required; experience in contractbased environment will be considered a definite asset
- Strong working knowledge of expense claims receipt reconciliation and constructionrelated expenses
- Able to multitask prioritize and troubleshoot independently
- Not easily distracted and able to focus in a fastpaced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
