What will you do
Support the supervisor in providing leadership and guidance to the Financial Reporting team.
Prepare complex income and/or overhead lines for monthly closing including variance analysis of actuals vs budgets and reforecasts.
Prepare periodic (weekly monthly or quarterly) internal reports for the leadership team.
Prepare supplementary reports to ensure financial statements are accurate and reliable.
Research analyze and prepare accounting transactions as needed for internal reporting.
Participate in various monthend activities including the preparation of journal entries and the investigation of any issues identified.
Prepare and/or review financial statements for assigned entities on a monthly and/or quarterly basis.
Prepare and/or review account reconciliations.
Assist in the preparation of the yearend audited financial statements including audit requests and testing procedures.
Assist with the yearly internal audit and ad hoc audit requests throughout the year.
Ongoing evaluation of task areas to identify areas for improvements increased efficiency and risk mitigation.
Display a high level of integrity while properly presenting the financial position of the organization according to accounting standards.
Mentor and train new and junior employees.
Coordinate and lead various projects as needed.
Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
What are we looking for
CPA designation required.
5 years of experience in accounting or related position performing accounting and financial data analysis tasks.
Bachelors degree in business or accounting.
Knowledge of AS400 or SAP system preferred.
Knowledge of SAP S4/HANA and/or OneStream a plus but not required.
Demonstrated expert userlevel proficiency with Microsoft Office tools is mandatory in particular Excel. General proficiency with other tools such as PowerPoint Word and Power BI is preferred.
Problem solving and critical thinking in decision making.
Strong analytical ability to analyze budget variances.
Proficient in time management to meet assigned deadlines.
Ability to interact and collaborate with employees at all levels in the organization including business units and executive management.
Ability to execute data mining and analysis.
Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
Ability to work effectively independently and as a team member.
Ability to explain complex concepts to nonspecialists.
Ability to quickly comprehend processes and learn systems and tools.
Ability to visualize data and to present those findings to management.
Ability to be accountable and professional while maintaining effective interpersonal (written verbal and presentation) skills while managing multiple priorities.

Pay:
We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with jobrelated skills experience relevant education or training and geographic location starting in the range of $76900.00 $111505.00 CAD annually for full time employees.
