The Research Coordinator will provide administrative and research support to the principal investigator project director and research team on multiple research projects: - The UCSF funded research programs: Heart Health After Cancer Treatment (HEARTACT Cancer) and Heart Health After Cardiac Treatment (HEARTACT Cardiac)) which aims to pilot test an exercise and health behavior program in breast cancer survivors and heart disease patients to determine whether this program improves cardiovascular risk factors and health outcomes. These pilot programs will be conducted at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG).
- The Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) funded MCNAIR Study which is a multicenter randomized trial to compare traditional inperson cardiac rehabilitation (CR) to telehealth CR.
- The American Heart Association (AHA) grant SUPeRFOOD which is a randomized trial to compare various methods to initiate and engage in a Food is Medicine program.
The Research Coordinator under the direction of the principal investigator and project director will assist in project planning development administration management and implementation of the study aims for all of these research projects. This includes managing Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions engaging with stakeholders acting as the liason between UCSF and the other sites implementing quality control procedures and data management writing/updating operations manuals and data collection forms conducting semistructured interviews qualitative data analysis and administrative tasks such as purchasing of study equipment and subject gift cards preparing invoics and tracking payments to vendors etc.
The Research Coordinator should have excellent organizational skills ability to collaborate with a number of different stakeholders (study team members patients and professionals) and a passion for research. The Research Coordinator will assist in collaboration with study staff and patient and professional advisory board members to implement research protocols. The ability to communicate clearly both in meetings and in writing will be an important aspect of this role.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $62500 $93800 (Annual Rate).
