Job Description

Description

We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Broadcast Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Broadcast Engineer will be responsible for installing maintaining and operating broadcast equipment and systems to ensure highquality audio and video transmission for Classrooms Devotionals and other Meetings. This role requires technical expertise problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure to support live events and production schedules.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install configure and maintain broadcast equipment including cameras microphones transmitters servers and control systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Audio/Video systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime during live productions.
  • Perform regular maintenance upgrades and repairs on A/V hardware and software systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.
  • Learn understand and manage signal routing encoding and streaming platforms.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of equipment configurations maintenance schedules and technical issues.
  • Provide technical support and training to production staff on equipment operation and best practices.



Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering Broadcast Engineering Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in broadcast engineering or a related technical role in media production.

Skill Requirements:

  • Proficiency with broadcast equipment such as video switchers audio mixers routers and Dante Systems.
  • Familiarity with networking practices and IT systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with crossfunctional teams.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours including evenings weekends and holidays to support the Media Team schedule.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Diagnosis of electrical/electronic systems failures/test equipment familiarity.
  • Learn understand and manage signal routing encoding and streaming platforms.
  • Effective Communication skills Critical thinker and ability to share thoughts and ideas with coworkers.
  • Ability to work with a supervisor.
  • Mentoring skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights in confined spaces or in outdoor environments as needed.
