Job Description
Franklin Pierce University (FPU) is seeking a Graduate Assistant (GA) for Student Programs & Support Services to assist in developing implementing and assessing programs that enhance student engagement retention and success. This position will assist in the planning execution and assessment of programs that create a sense of belonging and personal development. This position offers a unique opportunity for a graduate student to gain handson experience in student affairs while making a meaningful impact on student success.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in coordinating planning and executing firstyear programming STEP Days Orientation Fall Festival and other major student events.
- Develop marketing materials and social media content to promote student programs and engagement opportunities.
- Serve as a resource for students connecting them to campus resources and support services.
- Attend and contribute to Student Affairs staff meetings retreats and training sessions.
- Partner with Student Affairs offices to develop collaborative programs and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree
- Candidate must be accepted to Franklin Pierce graduate school before GA application will be considered.
- 12 years of experience in student programming leadership development event planning or student support services preferred.
- Strong organizational interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse student populations faculty and staff.
- Familiarity with event planning program assessment and student engagement strategies.
- Commitment to diversity equity and inclusion in student affairs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office social media platforms and digital communication tools.
