Amazon Emerging Country Growth is seeking a Head of Vendor Management with proven experience in Vendor Management driving strategy execution negotiation and team development to lead a team of Vendor Managers for its Retail Globalization Team. As the Head of Vendor Management you will will be responsible for leading and developing a high performing team setting strategy for new retail teams to drive profitable growth building new tools and processes to drive scale and automation.
Key job responsibilities The best candidate will be an expert in vendor management and have a broad skill set including prior launch country experience with demonstrated career progression and a proven track record of delivering results. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical acumen superb business judgment strategic negotiation skills and a propensity to dive deep to solve complex problems. You will also have a passion for creating a world class shopping experience for our customers. You must understand the competitive and industry landscape and must have the leadership presence and communication skills to effectively work with vendors at all levels of their organization. You must be a selfstarter and be able to execute at both a tactical and strategic level with a strong attention to detail.
5 years of professional or military experience Experience structuring and negotiating complex agreements and leading crossfunctional groups to orchestrate and successfully complete deals Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software Experience with business development partnership management or sourcing new business Experience in developing negotiating and executing business agreements Amazon Retail experience
Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross functional teams across geographies and business units Experience working with technical and product stakeholders to define requirements prioritize features and influence product roadmaps Internal Amazon new country launch experience.
