Annual Salary : Level 8 $104000.00 $110000.00 Superannuation
The Town of Bassendean is a small local government that sits along the Derbarl Yerrigan on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people. The Towns Corporate Services directorate covers a broad portfolio including finance and rating and customer services information management and technology procurement and childrens services (long day care centres). We actively collaborate with stakeholders to deliver exceptional services sound financial management and good governance.
About the role
The role will give the successful applicant an opportunity to:
- Plan and administer the Towns procurement contracts and leases in line with the Towns strategic and operational plans.
- Provide day to day supervision and direction to the Procurement Officer by setting purpose works tasks and communicating expected outcomes for optimal performance.
- Develop and maintain appropriate documentation for the Towns procurement contract administration and leasing functions in compliance with legislative and policy requirements.
- Monitor and administer the status of contracts including contract spend and Town and contractor performance requirements and obligations to ensure compliance with legislative requirements policy and contract terms.
- Review and negotiate the Towns leases and licenses in consultation with relevant officers community groups and other stakeholders
The successful candidate will have:
Extensive experience in procurement contract management and lease administration.
Proven ability to develop and implement procurement strategies negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with legislative and policy requirements.
- Experience in supervising staff and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Tertiary qualification in Procurement Contract Management or similar discipline is highly desirable.
Salary and Benefits
This Permanent fulltime position attracts an annual salary up to $110000.00 plus superannuation.
The Town also offers up to 4% additional superannuation (conditions apply) 17.5% leave loading free parking ongoing training and professional development and up to two additional leave days per calendar year.
Working Hours
This is a permanent Fulltime role 76 hours a fortnight Monday to Friday. Flexibility options hybrid work and variable start/finish times are options and may be negotiated for this role.
