NEPEAN Power specialises in the design and manufacture of highquality electrical equipment. Our products are used throughout the Australian and international mining construction and industrial sectors. NEPEAN Power is also a Level 3 Service Provider (ASP3) for designing distribution works in NSW.
Our OpportunityAs a Senior Electrical Engineer based in Mackay QLD youll have the chance to contribute to projects that shape the way the mining and industrial sectors operate. You will leverage your electrical design expertise to ensure high standards of quality and safety making a real impact on industry operations.
Your RoleThis rewarding role will see you:
Design and document electrical equipment ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Provide technical support to production teams and coordinate various project aspects all while interacting directly with customers.
Lead complex electrical design tasks ensuring timely completion and technical accuracy.
Mentor and guide less experienced engineers and team members sharing your expertise to drive quality outcomes.
Lead the integration of new products into standard NEPEAN Power designs ensuring they meet both internal and external customer needs.
You will be a key player in a team of 30 engineers benefiting from a collaborative environment with strong support for your career growth.
The Right PersonYou are:
Degreequalified in Electrical Engineering with 10 years of postgraduate experience ideally in coal or mining sectors.
Experienced in electrical design with indepth knowledge of Australian Standards (e.g. AS/NZS 3000 AS 61439) and electrical design software such as AutoCAD or EPLAN.
Comfortable working on highlevel electrical designs and project coordination while maintaining a handson approach with team members and clients.
A strong communicator capable of engaging with both internal stakeholders and external customers to solve complex engineering challenges.
Able to work independently while mentoring junior engineers fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment.
