Ground Systems Engineer

Title:

KBR is seeking a Ground Systems Engineer to join our team on site in El Segundo CA

The Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Systems Integration Office (SSIO) Science & Engineering Technical Support team is looking for an energetic and innovative Data Engineer to assist in data mining information from multiple DoD repositories. Ideal candidates will have experience providing technical support and managing technical programs throughout the engineering life cycle of operational and/or new start technical demonstration space and ground systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Support various systems architecting and engineering activities such as system requirements definition design interface management data architecture development verification and validation integration performance analysis lifecycle cost analysis & estimation decision analysis and physical configuration assessments
• Manage ground segment technical and interface requirements. Manage interface negotiation with external stakeholders. Oversee requirements and interface verification.
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical schedule and cost constraints
• Support development ofsystem engineering items such as CONOPs requirements definitions (or features themes epics) system testing algorithm document review and interfaces to other application development efforts
• Support the development and refinement of acquisition strategies as well as identifying program execution issues and provide recommendations when possible

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelors and 12 years or more systems engineering experience
• Must have min five years experience architecting ground systems
• Experience in system requirements definition design interface management and dataarchitecture development
• Must have an active DoD TS/SCI

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Basic Compensation: $180000 $210000

This salary range is for California only

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidates knowledge skills abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses commissions or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus relocation benefits short term incentives long term incentives or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
