The Project

CPB Contractors in Alliance partnership with Sedgman SC Joint Venture (SCJV) has been selected by BHP to undertake the Western Ridge Crusher Project involving construction of a new primary crusher a 12kilometre overland conveyor radial stacker and associated stockpiling systems with a capacity of Project is located on Nyiyaparli Country approximately 21 Kilometres southwest of Newman in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Works are commencing now and will go through until mid2026.

YourOpportunity

CPB Contactors are currently looking to engage a qualified & experienced Supervisor Electrical for a major BHP Western Ridge Crusher Project based in Newman. This role will be FIFO from Perth working 14 days on 7 days off Fly in Fly out roster. This is a great opportunity to join construction industry leader.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

  • BHP Induction (Advantageous)
  • Statutory S26 affiliated.
  • Good knowledge of safety protocol and completion of KPIs.
  • Experience in commissioning of dry plant equipment.
  • Experience reviewing red line mark ups.
  • Minimum 5 years site experience in electrical supervisor role on major projects (Client side considered favourably).
  • Understand Project Electrical and Instrumentation Quality requirements in accordance with AS and WA regulations.
  • Able to review provide feedback and approve Work Packs.
  • Able to coordinate and control multi discipline site activities to ensure safe delivery of works.
  • Experience attending and presenting at subcontractor prestarts and toolboxes as the principal contractors representative.
  • Excellent forward planning skills for coordination and management of permits with Principal and subcontractor.
  • Proficient monitoring subcontractor schedule performance.
  • Proficient reviewing weekly work plans and four weekly lookaheads and monitoring progress against them.
  • Proficient monitoring subcontractor scope compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
  • Must have an excellent eye for detail.
  • Proficient in reviewing and commenting on daily and weekly progress reports.
  • Proficient in reviewing and authorizing subcontractor daily time sheets for out of scope works.
  • Excellent record keeping skills including subcontractor workforce plant and equipment allocations in daily project diaries.
  • Willingness to work on 14 days on 7 days off Fly in Fly out roster.
  • AS 2067 Substations and High Voltage Installations Exceeding 11kV A.C
  • AS/NZS 3000 Electrical Wiring Rules
  • AS/NZS 3001 Electrical Installations Connectable electrical installations and supply arrangements
  • AS 3007 Electrical Installations Surface Mines and Associated Processing Plant
  • AS/NZS 3008 Electrical Installation Selection of Cables
