Rutland Town School Custodian (2:00 P.M.10:30 P.M.) Rutland Town School has an opening for a fulltime custodian. Rutland Town is looking for a responsible custodian to work fulltime to maintain and protect our facilities. The external and internal appearance of a building reflects upon the occupants. It is important for a custodian to be careful and thorough in working cleaning and tidying the Functions and Responsibilities: Cleans and disinfects bathrooms and classrooms; restocks dust mops and wet mops floors and spot washes walls. Dusts or vacuums classroom furniture cleans chalkboards and whiteboards and restocks copier entrances. Sweeps outside steps and entries polices the outside perimeter of the and removes all furniture in classrooms and commonly used records and makes daily work order appropriately with staff and community damage and missing items from assigned areas and reports them to the maintenance the recycling facilities after hours by locking doors and windows and setting the cooperatively with others and accepts direction from the maintenance all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with established departmental practices and and maintains equipment such as auto scrubbers sweepers and for cleaning up any blood spills/accidents using proper fire extinguishers on a monthly up and removes furniture and equipment for special other duties as assigned to assist the department in obtaining and maintaining its of cleaning techniques products and equipment. Knowledge of basic equipment operation is and consistent good time management and plans absences in to follow written and oral instructions. Able to establish and maintain working relations with supervisor fellow workers students faculty and the rest of the GRCSU staff. May be required to work independently. Able to follow a schedule.
