**Position: Shop Assistant**
**Location:** Farmington MN
Are you energetic and enthusiastic A to Z Quality Fencing is looking for a dedicated Shop Assistant to join our growing team. This entrylevel position is perfect for individuals eager to learn the basics of manufacturing including how to operate machinery. If you enjoy working with your hands and get excited when hardware and tools go on sale you could be an ideal fit for our team!
**Primary Responsibilities:**
Maintain excellent organizational skills and keep detailed records of shop activities.
Manage inventory including lifting and moving items effectively.
Sort and store materials on racks shelves or bins.
Operate various machinery such as forklifts band saw belt sander CNC machines and more as needed.
Conduct weekly preventative maintenance vehicle inspections and equipment cleaning.
Cut materials to the correct length as per job load guides.
**Qualifications:**
Valid drivers license with a good driving record.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Basic mechanical background; welding and CNC experience preferred but not necessary.
Familiarity with hand tools.
One to two years of experience in materials or shop work; however we are willing to train the right person.
Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 70 pounds.
Ability to perform tasks involving kneeling crouching or other positions.
Ability to weld is a big plus

Up to $300 insurance reimbursement after 90 days of employment.
**Wage/Salary:**
Competitive pay ranging from $18 to $30 per hour based on experience.
