The Devices Software and Services team is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead multiple largescale and highly visible operational excellence programs across Device organizations. These programs include peak readiness initiative to improve service scalability and resilience for highTPS events and platform modernization involving migration of legacy systems to new AWS platforms to enhance scalability security and cost efficiency. This is an opportunity to orchestrate large crossorganizational programs and deliver highimpact results. The Device Software and Services team builds services that enable critical customer experiences across all Amazon devices including Kindle Fire TV Fire Tablets Amazon Echo Smart Devices in addition to Amazon experiences on 3rdparty devices. These services include device registration device setup over the air software updates device analytics cloud to device messaging and device management services.

Welldeveloped organizational skills successful track record of coordinating between multiple project stakeholders TPMs and software development teams
Foster a culture of candor and respect facilitating communication at all levels
Effective negotiation skills; be able to make smart tradeoffs (e.g. time vs. effort vs. cost) and drive appropriate schedules while being willing to readjust priorities to ensure the right customer technology and engineering outcomes
Ability to deliver results and balance short term goals against long term objectives
Key job responsibilities
Drive highpriority & highvisibility goals across multiple organizations
Drive monthly & quarterly business reviews and provide program updates to leaders 3 levels above
Be able to influence organizational roadmap priorities and technical direction
Represent difficult tradeoff decisions and solutions clearly to leaders up to 3 levels above to help them understand decisions and options
Manage crossfunctional and crossorganizational communication to ensure all stakeholders are informed and needs are aligned
Guide the technical direction and decisions to deliver solutions that meet Amazon high standards for customer satisfaction efficiency stability extensibility simplicity and operational excellence
7 years of working directly with engineering teams experience
5 years of technical product or program management experience
3 years of software development experience
5 years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
Experience managing programs across cross functional teams building processes and coordinating release schedules
5 years of project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management experience
Experience managing projects across cross functional teams building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multimillion dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
