Who you are:
We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Business Analyst Intern for our Technical Services Program Management Office (TS PMO) team who will be supporting assigned projects managed by the TS PMO. What youll do:
During your time with us youll have the opportunity to work on one or more projects to help develop your practical Business Analysis experience. This experience can count towards accumulating your Personal Development (PD) hours for the IIBA designation of your choice. You will also enhance your leadership communication and organization skills to name a few. Youll gain practical stakeholder management experience in a flat organization that is a technology leader in its field. You will have the opportunity to grow your professional network and even develop interests in Geotabs other functional areas that might be of interest to you.
The opportunity
- 8 12 month workterm beginning September 2025.
- Fulltime paid internship: Monday Friday37.5hrs/week.

How youll make an impact
- Assist with establishing scope for new programs projects and initiatives led by the Technical Services team.
- Work with stakeholders to get consensus on project objectives benefits assumptions constraints and present business analysis findings in the form of a business case (including scope statement and business requirements).
- Partner with business and technology teams to create requirements epics features user stories mockups as well as detailed acceptance criteria and leading edge business processes.
- Work with developers in order to create a simple meaningful efficient solution to business and systems requirements and present this solution and obtain buyoff from the user community.
- Generate requirements documents that outline the solution in business terms and create clear requirements to enable application development.
- Document elicitation results and validate that requirements are understood agreed to and signed off by stakeholders.
- Supplement requirements with detailed use cases business processes diagrams wireframes and workflow diagrams to illustrate business needs.
- Manage change in scope and support solution design discussions and ensure proposed solutions aligns with requirements and maximizes value to stakeholders.
- Work closely with project managers to ensure requirements are met on projects.
- Partner with business stakeholders to support User Acceptance Testing and data validation efforts.
- Participate in the development of training content for business users.
- Provides analysis of processes and workflows with suggestions for improvement.
- Identifies areas where process policy or system changes can lead to increased efficiency and productivity.
- Support the creation and maintenance of systems business processes end user and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documentation.
What youll bring to the role
- 01 year business analysis experience working with stakeholders within a crossfunctional matrix environment.
- Excellent analytical and writing skills to evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources reconcile conflicts decompose highlevel information into details abstract up from lowlevel information to a more general understanding distinguish solution ideas from requirements and distinguish user requests from underlying needs.
- Experience in requirements management including collecting documenting analyzing tracing validating prioritizing and controlling change.
- Experience gathering and preparing levelofeffort estimates use cases test cases and plans.
- Experience using Agile methodology is highly valued.
- Understanding of different Project Management principles and methodologies.
- Able to work well under pressure and respond to fast changing priorities and deadlines
- The ideal candidate should:
- Be a selfstarter with strong knowledge of business analysis.
- Possess key Business Analyst competencies.
- Hold the ability to quickly understand complex concepts.
- Demonstrate strong leadership communication skills diplomatic and motivational skills.
- Hold the ability to lead in varying situations that can be ambiguous at times.
- Fosters a culture of team collaboration and continuous improvement.
